This Privacy Policy explains how the Foreseecast mobile application ("Foreseecast," "the app," "we," "us," or "our"), provided by Risentation Software LLC, handles information when you use it. By using Foreseecast, you agree to the practices described here.
Foreseecast is a weather-aware calendar and home-screen widget for general use, with an optional schedule-import feature for flight crews. We do not operate any servers, and we never receive, collect, or store your personal information. Everything the app handles — your location, your calendar, and your FLICA login — stays on your device, except when your device communicates directly with third-party services to do what you asked (fetch the weather, or log in to your airline's scheduling system). We have no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
Approximate location. If you grant location permission, the app uses your approximate location on your device to request local weather information. Your location is sent directly from your device to the weather services the app uses: Open-Meteo (the default forecast, geocoding, and air-quality provider), the U.S. National Weather Service (severe-weather alerts), and — only if you select them as your forecast provider in Settings — Tomorrow.io, Pirate Weather, or OpenWeatherMap. If the device's own geocoder is unavailable, the app may send coordinates to BigDataCloud to turn them into a place name. We do not receive or store your location.
Calendar data. If you grant calendar permission, the app reads events from your device calendar to display them and writes your imported flight schedule into your device calendar. This data stays on your device. We do not receive or store it.
FLICA login credentials. If you choose to connect your crew schedule, you enter your FLICA username and password. These credentials are stored encrypted on your device using the Android Keystore system. They are transmitted only to FLICA's servers (flica.net and your airline's FLICA subdomain) to log you in and download your own schedule. Your credentials are never sent to us or to any other third party, and we operate no servers that could receive them. You can delete your stored credentials and schedule at any time from within the app, and uninstalling the app removes them.
What we do NOT collect. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, messages, financial or health information, advertising identifiers, analytics, crash logs, or usage data.
Foreseecast communicates directly from your device with the following third parties so it can function. Each has its own privacy practices, which we do not control:
Credentials are encrypted at rest on your device. Network requests use HTTPS encryption in transit. Because no data is sent to us and we run no servers, there is no central database of user information to be breached.
All data the app uses is stored locally on your device. You control it:
Foreseecast is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly handle information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).
The app runs on your device wherever you are. When your device contacts the services listed above, those communications are governed by those providers' practices and may be processed in other countries.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through a notice in the app or store listing. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
